Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington, New Zealand
COLLABORATING TO IMPROVE PATIENT CARE
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the 25th Annual Scientific Meeting of OSSANZ this year at The Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington, NZ.
The OSSANZ Conference in Wellington will consist of a series of workshop streams for surgeons and allied health, all focusing on finding solutions to problems we commonly encounter in our daily practices. Recognising the need for a multi8disciplinary approach, the OSSANZ programme has been designed by a multidisciplinary committee which includes members from nursing, dietetics, psychology, bariatric physicians & surgeons.
Aptly referred to as the "coolest little capital", Wellington is a hub or quirky bars and funky restaurants, wonderful harbour view, great shopping, a launching place of adventures and things to do - and the best thing is that the city hot spots are all within easy walking distance.
Make sure you save the dates of the OSSANZ Conference 2014 in your diary and start planning your trip to Wellington, the "coolest little capital"!

Obesity Surgery Society of Australia & New Zealand
This website is to introduce you to surgery for severe obesity and the specialist society that has been formed to encourage research, education and communication into this surgical specialty. This is not about cosmetic surgery or liposuction but is about major surgery performed only when all other methods of weight loss have failed in those people whose health is threatened by their obesity.
The obesity health information provided is to reinforce the advice and education you receive from your own surgeon and family doctor.
